Christmas was a lot of fun this year. I loved having a break from constant schedule and just enjoying my babies. And Eli and Ruthie at 5 and 2? Maybe some of the most fun ages to experience the magic of Christmas.
We went to church for the Christmas Eve service.
It's so nice to take time out and focus on why we celebrate Christmas.
We came home and ate our Christmas Eve dinner (BBQ Meatballs and mashed potatoes - our family tradition) and then opened our Christmas Eve box.
The kids got robes, slippers, a book, game and movie. They loved it! And we loved taking some time to watch a movie together. Eli told me that's one of his favorite things to do as a family.
Ben read the story of Jesus' birth to the kiddos
and then they sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn
Christmas morning!
First picture after waking up.
Christmas morning. We did the something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read gifts this year. And then plasma cars. Because I'd bought them this summer on craigslist (intending them to be Christmas gifts) and forgot about them until Christmas Eve when I happened upon them in the attic.
And miracle of miracles, we had a little snow.
And this is what southern people call a White Christmas.
Such a fun day. So happy to have my little family to love and celebrate with.

I am so relieved to see someone else who doesn't go overboard at Christmas! It's about Jesus yo! lol
I love how you managed their presents. I think we need to do something like that next year. (Making a note to myself.) And I LOVE that last picture of Ru playing in the snow in her robe. Adorable!
